Sod was awesome. And his single oar. I don't remember the story behind the single oar, but he kept me entertained. I seem to recall he saved my dwarf with an oar blow to the noggin of a hobgoblin....

That's the joy of having a character with low ability scores! He had nothing to lose!

Erwin examines the area, looking for footprints indicating one tunnel might be more heavily used, or for any other signs of recent travel in the area.
Erwin is unable to tell any difference in the tunnels. Both are solid rock and no sign of tracks, but it is likely that water has rushed through both of them in the recent past.

Otis and Susanna take up guard positions near the caves. Sack thanks Susanna for the offer of a weapon, but pats his side where a knife hangs.

Fungo and Bengar pad up to the entrance of the left cave. It is dark. The sound of crashing waves reverberate from within. Puddles of sea water are on the floor. The passage winds for a few feet before darkness makes further investigation impossible.

Fungo asks the dwarf if he thinks the floor is rising as they move forward. He's nervous about the tide coming in.
