Susanna nods. "Good idea!" She'll position herself so the pool is hopefully still in the corner of her eye...
Otis and Susanna keep an eye on the pool as the others prepare to receive whatever made the noise in the other passage.
A few minutes pass by as all is silent...
Then Susanna and Otis see a tiny stream of bubbles come up from the pool...then two long pairs of rubbery hands with black talons and green skin, followed by a large head with yellow eyes, black stringy hair, and a long, pointed nose.
Because of Otis's careful consideration of the pool, the PCs will get surprise. The party has turned the tables on the creature!
Normally Susanna would wait and let a creature reveal its true nature before attacking it outright...however she's ill at ease with the water, and she also feels like this thing in the pool is trying to creep up on them...
she will leap forward and bring her mace down upon it!
