Following the game trail, Fungo and Sammich move west away from the profane scene. Moving quietly, they come upon a clearing and hear people talking, a dog bark, and cooking fires. There is a village...not walled, but thatched fences keeping animals in? People can be seen moving in the village, but you are unsure how many.
Thankfully, there is no sound of chanting!
Actions?
The Halfling whispers to his companion, Fungo, without taking his eyes off the village... "Ya suppose the baddies live here, or is this where they get their victims from?"
Master Chef & Baker, part-time Archer, armchair Boyer/Fletcher
+ Arrows = 36
+ HP: 12
+ AC: 6 [13]
+ Super sneaky (Near Invisibility (1-5/d6))
+ To Hit: +3 (missile weapons)
+ Zen Archer ~ Allies are safe when I fire into combat
+ Only receive half damage from 'Giant Types' (Ogres, Giants, Trolls, etc.) Target priority: imminent danger (self or companion), then the target most injured. When possible, Sammich will always try to retrieve previously fired arrows.

That is a good question! It seems so quiet, as if the sacrifice is expected. We need to be cautious.
Erwin watches Fungo nervously, remembering the banquet...
Otis cautiously watches for any possible people approaching, especially from the trail we came from.
"If this place is filled with those people we just saw, I say we set it ablaze." Otis looks for any lone person walking around, away from others....
Fungo moves quietly into the village. He moves past several long houses towards a great hall in the middle. Hearing the sound of footfalls, Fungo ducks into the shadows as a loose knot of figures run past in the direction from which Fungo entered the village.
Susanna and the others hear the sounds of villagers moving towards them....
About a half dozen figures move out of the village towards where Susanna and the others hide in the shadows of the trees.
They stand alert, straining to see into the dark forest. One of them brings out a torch and holds it high. You can see six warriors. They are armed with and assortment of weapons...bows, spears, short blades...one barks orders to the others and a moment later two of the warriors move cautiously towards the place that the party is concealed.

Keeping the arrow nocked, the Halfling looks to his companions in absolute terror! Without whispering, he mouths the question... "RUN!?"
