Salty creeps to the statue. He checks cupids bow for any sign of a string. When he doesn't find one, he gently inspects the arrow.

Shieldsup lads!

When fhe Brothers Burly raised their Shields, he looks for a way to remove the arrow from the trap. If that's not possible, he takes a ration pack from his bag, ties it with his rope & wraps the other end around the statue so that it only has 2-3 feet of play.

Best have a word with those above, Scmidtty, old mate he says.

Salty then positions himself at a safe angle from the arrows flight path and whacks the ration pack into the point. If the trap is triggered with enough force to pull the pack from his hand, the rope should prevent it flying further than a couple of feet.

The statue itself is on a pedestal about 4-feet high, and the bow appears to be made of the same stone as the statue. The arrow, however, appears real and Salty is able to trigger the trap (safely) by hopping onto the pedestal and whacking the arrow point. It does so with some force, and the ration pack ends up on the ground, rope attached and arrow embedded.

Curiously, when Salty looks back at the statue, another arrow - from where he cannot say - has nocked itself into the bow.

Nicely done! Actions?

Thank you, Salty, says Uzmatazz, as he walks around the trigger stone, given that there was no other way to avoid triggering that trap.

He peeks down the tunnel to the north.

Uzzy, wait! Salty squeaks, flapping his hands like he's trying to take off another blinking arrow just appeared in the bow. Wait there and try not to get skewered. I'll check that pressure plate.

Salty crawls around looking for the pressure plate. When he finds it, he tries to lift it with his knife blade. If this works, he pulls the roped rations over and begins packing out the plate with pemmican and hard tack.

If it doesn't work, he attemps to remove the stone and get a look at the workings inside. If he can, he'll use his ruined lunch to clog up the mechanism. If he can't, he'll cut wires, unalign gears and otherwise wreck the mechanism.

Salty spends some time examining the trigger plate - he can see the plate is well-constructed, and would need some demolishing to remove. He does think a spike pounded into an edge of the plate would jam it, however.

While Salty is examining the plate, Uz can see a long tunnel north with a branch to the east and ending in a T-intersection, 60' away. It appears dimly lit to the north.

[Wandering? d6=1], [Surprise? d6=4]

"You there!" Uz hears a yell from the north, and sees a man in a crimson robe enter the tunnel from the T-intersection. A skeleton accompanies him.

Actions?

No, you there, replies Uzmatazz as he steps back behold the safety of the wall (out from the corridor entrance).

Berthold draws his bow and steps into room, standing on the south end so he can fire down the hall to the north.

He calls back down the hall, You there! Who are you and what is your business here?

Heimer backs up Bert and Schmidt stays in the background, out of sight, (not sure if he can be recognized as not an EHP :) ) and prepares to turn undead.
Holy Schmidt He swears by his pretty floral bonnet...
