"Yikes," Schmidt says seeing Bonner preparing to get in the water. "Can we put a rope around you first, you know, just in case?"

Berthod unties the crowbar and makes a noose loop for Bonner to crawl in to if he wants the rope.

Good idea, lads! It's lucky you boys are here to do the heavy thinking.
Bonner pulls the rope around his chest, salutes the sky then Chambers into the pool.

Bonner wades in and feels around. The object in the center is an iron pull-ring, and while he cannot see anything in the dark water, by feel he thinks it is attached to a small wooden trap door.JimboJimbo wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 5:28 pmGood idea, lads! Bonner tells the lads he's found.
Hold that rope good and tight, boys!
He pulls the ring, trying to open the trap door.

Schmidt helps with the holding of the rope. If there's room among the burlier types.

Berthold makes room for the cleric. Pull hard! He needlessly instructs the dwarf.
Re: Delve #2
The door resists at first, but Bonner puts his prodigious strength into it and is able to pull it open. The compartment below the trap door is maybe a foot square and a bit deeper, and must not have been water-tight, as the door was water-logged and the level of the pool did not change when the door was opened.
He pulls a small wooden case from the compartment, and that does appear to be water-tight, sealed with wax (think of it like a long cigar box sealed along the edges). Inside, arranged on black velvet padding, he sees six finely crafted arrows and a clear glass vial of red liquid with a cork stopper.
There is something engraved on the vial, but poor Bonner is not up to the task of reading it.

Anyone want any of this? I can't hit the broad side of a cave and the red stuff doesn't look that tasty.
