Apologies was away for my annual cigars and whisky weekend with my friends from HS/MS :)

You smoked cigars and drank whisky in middle school?!

You didn’t?

Ok ok, we've been friends since middle school.
The imbibing of Guinness may have started around that point, but the cigars were a few years later, and whisky soon after that ;)

Cedric stabs at the ghastly visitor with his sword! "Back to hell, you insufferable shade!"
Cedric lunges at the shadow, but it is moving and he miscalculates, missing by a league.

Easy there, your Royal Shortness, Salty splutters, we just want to return your shiny, shiny loot to your people, rather than have it nabbed by kobold. We're not stealing, We're repatriating . We're more like the Br'ish Museum than dirty tomb raiders!
Salty tries to parley with the shadow, but it doesn't respond!

Berthold tries his sword on the thing. For the record, I didn’t plunder anything this time! he shouts.

Schmidt???
Berthold can see he is too far from the creature to reach it with his sword, as it is in the pit and he is at the far end and up 8 feet, fishing for eels.

Heimer holds up the lantern.

"Cleric, now would be a good time!" Suspos says

The shadow reaches [d6=1 Cedric] and a shadowy tendril reaches out...but Cedric is able to evade the creature's touch.
"Begone and cower before the power of the holy and lawful gods creature of chaos!" Schmidt brandishes both holy symbols of the gods as he says! Luckily they are hanging around his neck, so he can drop them for the scroll next!
The gods are with Schmidt this day, he feels a surge of energy directed at the shadow, and it sinks back into the mummy-wrapped corpse of the king with a haunting wail. All is quiet.

Actions?

Schmidt has banished the shadow.

Cedric sighs with relief, "Well, it seems that our priest has sent this shade back to its moldering grave!"

He removes the bracers, "Shades need no baubles. They are meant for the living."

Schmidt continues to hold up his holy symbols, in case the foul undead tries any funny business!
“This evil creature needs no crown nor bracers. Is there anything else it can be relieved of?”

“At least they aren’t the shrieking eels of Florin. I wonder if they are good eating?” Schmidt muses.

You find nothing else of value in the sarcophagus.

[2d10=7,10]

The eels are still being distracted by Berthold's fishing expedition.

Nicely done! Where to?
