Heimer tries to put his shield in the possible path of Cupid's arrow, between it and the party, not leaving the stairs, and squats behind it.

Good thing Salty isn’t in his cups like last night, whispers Berthold to Heimer. He was saying “I love you, man” to anyone in earshot. The half-orc cleric was not amused when Salty knocked over her mead and then apologized over and over and over. The kiss he gave her in apology had her seeing red. And then Polycarp the barkeep came and cleaned up and Salty was all “I love you man” to him and such. It was quite the spectacle…

Then he concentrates on Morbo and tries to activate the trap sensing magic of the sword.

I heard that! Salty hisses at Berthold.

And for your information, I think I've got a real chance with Hogette.

He grabs his tools & looks for any signs of wires, pressure plates or other nefarious constructions.
Salty blows the dust away on and near the base of the stairs, but cannot see anything out of the ordinary except an area of scuffed stone on one of the stairs, he thinks it might be where a bolt or arrow chipped the stone face.

A small square glows green in the room's exact center, along with the cherub statue. Berthold knows this is an arrow trap, set off by a pressure plate in the center of the room.

[d6=5] All is quiet.

I assume Salty is trying to disarm it - from which end? The floor pressure plate, or the statue? I'll give you more details depending on which it is.

Also, just a reminder that I very seldom allow thieves to make find/remove traps rolls - I prefer descriptive methods of working with traps. The exception would be for very small or intricate traps, like those found in locks. Larger traps will always be descriptive.
