Berthold grumbles, starts to say something, stops himself, grumbles again, and then lumbers north wordlessly.

Berthold examines the stone head. Was it just placed on the pedestal or in the niche, or is it carved from it? What kind of rock/material is it made of?
He asks the cleric: Do you recognize this face?

Re: Delve #5
If the cleric doesn't know this face, though it looks to be one of chaos(!) then he leans over to Berthold and says, maybe this is the time to see if the King of Brassithium is worth feeding?

Re: Delve #5
The bust and podium are made of the same rock as the wall, in fact they are carved into the back wall of the niche. The only thing that stands out to Berthold is that the eyes are of a lighter color than the rest of the stone, as if they are faded.
The bust reminds Schmidt (WIS check d20=10) of a god in Satyr form he once saw a drawing of in a book, he thinks it was an evil god favored by highwaymen.
Re: Delve #5
"Ah the god of brigands and highway robbers," Schmidt says thoughtfully, "it likely means it's protecting riches. But I also suspect other protection, traps perhaps, or evil creatures." He pats his holy symbols to make sure both are still around his neck.

Re: Delve #5
Berthold makes a closer examination of the eyes. Is the rest of the bust painted? If not, how can the eyes be faded, he wonders. Are they a different substance?
I think you’re right, Schmidt. Perhaps we should feed the brass head some gold to tell us more about this stone head.
